The GFWC Wampanoag Women's Club has developed a relationship with McAuley Village, a transitional housing for women and their families. There are 23 units in the facility and the families may stay for up to 2 years to get themselves on their feet. In order to retain their apartment they must pay a portion of their income for rent and they must either work or attend school. We have set up a drive for a couple of months. The photo below shows club member Barbara Traverse unpacking items from our "Linens and Lamps" drive for November. For our December drive members went through their Christmas decorations and donated those no longer being used in their family. Umbrellas was for another month. Our contacts at McAuley Village are most appreciative of the items.

A workshop was held at an assisted living facility in East Providence in late November. Members brought evergreens from their yards and decorative ribbons to decorate holiday mugs to be used as centerpieces during the holiday season. This is the second year for this project. This photo shows the members displaying their handiwork. About 25 mugs were donated.
