GFWC Women's Club of South County
BOOK & AUTHOR EVENT
It was beautiful and successful Day...
Take a look at this short video to get a glimpse of the 2023 GFWC Women’s Club of South County’s Book & Author Luncheon.
There were 300 guests and lots of terrific raffle prizes to win.
It was a warm but wonderful event at the Dunes Club.
We couldn't have done it without the event's dedicated co-chairs, Linda Butera-Noble and Deb Zepp.
Our sponsors were so very generous and the proceeds of this event help us to provide scholarships for women and meet some of the needs of small non-profits in our community.
Enjoy the Video and Thank You!

On July 13, 2022, the 22nd Book and Author Luncheon was held at the Dunes Club in Narragansett. This is the club’s major fundraiser that allows the mission of the Women’s club to be fulfilled. The event hosted three fabulous authors, Beatriz Williams, highlighting her newest book, THE LOST SUMMERS OF NEWPORT, chef Jeanie Roland from the Westerly restaurant, Ellas, with her newest cookbook, THE PERFECT CAPER, and author Susan Brescia talking about her timely book about the pandemic in Rhode Island, THE YEAR THE WORLD STOOD STILL. The renowned raffles are always a hit and not to be missed. Joining us for another year was, Michaela Johnson as the mistress of ceremonies. Thanks always to the financial contributions of our generous sponsors that provide the base for this fundraiser.
