Who We Are
Bristol and Providence Counties Women's Club

The Club was first established in 1953 as the GFWC Barrington Junior Women's Club. In 2000, to broaden its scope, the Club changed its name to GFWC Bristol County Women's Club (BCWC.) Since that time the club has evolved to meet the changing needs of the community, locally, statewide and worldwide.
In 2026, The Club changed it's name to the Bristol and Providence Counties Women's Club and have now extended it's reach to Providence County.

BCWC has been an active organization in Bristol County, helping those towns build playgrounds, running Strawberry Festivals, and sending out phone directories back in the day. Along with animal focused projects including making cat toys for local Animal Shelters, and supporting a new pet-food pantry called The Pawfect Pantry, current club members support the East Bay Women’s Resource Center by helping the Warren Center keep up their gardens, organize their donations, and provide Mother’s Day bags for client moms and home-made cookies for their children.
With the expanded area, the BPCWC hopes to meet the expanded need of both Bristol and Providence Counties.

The Club is 70 years-old and going strong!
